About me

Hello, I’m Laura (she/her). I’m a UKCP trainee psychotherapist and counsellor based in Islington, North London. Currently, I’m in the third year of a five-year MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy at the Metanoia Institute.

Alongside my training, I have worked as a counsellor at Metanoia Counselling and Psychotherapy Service (MCPS), and Headstrong. I have also completed an art therapy placement at the Claremont Centre, and volunteered for Cruse Bereavement Care and OCD Action.

Through my work, I’ve supported people facing a range of challenges – including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief, relationship difficulties, and past traumas. Some clients come to therapy with a clear sense of what they’re struggling with, while others simply feel that something isn’t right and need a space to explore.

Before training as a therapist, I worked in the charity sector and currently support Mind, focusing on financial sustainability and revenue generation to drive change for better mental health across the UK.

Outside of therapy, I love nature, art, cooking, reading, and movement.
